Videographer Melbourne acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we work and pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.

Which areas do you service?

I'm based in Melbourne, but I can pretty much service anywhere. From Broome to Bali, Auckland to the Outback, my work takes me to some weird and wonderful places. Where do you need me to shoot? Hit the chat icon in the bottom right to ask me a question.

What sort of videos can you make?

From conferences to testimonials, social series to music videos, I've pretty much done it all. However, my strong suit is "story marketing". This utilises my unique combination of skills - creative writing & video marketing. Having been the lead videographer in a digital agency for 6 years, I learned the ins and outs of what makes great web-based video content (backed up by metrics).

Can you write scripts?

Yes I can. I've written many video marketing scripts over the years and my fictional work won "Best Writing" in the Online Video Awards. One short film was even a Top 16 Finalist in Tropfest (the largest short film festival in the world), where it played in front of 100,000 people and also broadcasted nationally.

How big is your team?

It's just me. A solo, freelance videographer. Most of the time that's all you need. Sometimes I'll bring a colleague along if the shoot is multi-camera or a more complex production. Flying solo allows for quicker turnarounds and lower costs to you.

Can I chat to you?

Sure can! Click the chat bubble in the bottom right corner to ask me anything. If I don't reply straight away, I'm probably on a shoot, so make sure to put in your email so I can get back to you asap.

Plan completed by: Adrian Cabrie
Date reviewed: December 2021

1. Physical distancing
• A minimum 1.5 metres physical distance will be maintained between Adrian, contractors and clients at all times, both indoors and outdoors (unless close-contact is required, as stipulated in point 5).

2. Face coverings
• A face mask will be worn at all times for any in-person engagements by Adrian or Videographer Melbourne contractors.

3. Good hygiene
• Any shared equipment will be cleaned and disinfected between uses. Such as:
• wearable microphones and receivers
• iPad
• Shared camera equipment between Videographer Melbourne contractors
• Hand sanitiser will be available at all times for use by clients, Adrian or Videographer Melbourne contractors during any in-person engagements.

4. Keep records and act quickly if workers become unwell
• In-person engagements will be postponed if Adrian or Videographer Melbourne contractors have even mild symptoms. COVID testing will be carried out immediately.
• Relevant clients will be notified if Adrian or Videographer Melbourne contractors have developed COVID symptoms. They will be notified of test results as soon as returned.
• In-person engagements will be rescheduled once it is medically safe and approved to do so.

5. Avoid interactions in enclosed spaces
• In-person engagements will be conducted outdoors wherever possible.
• If in-person engagements must be conducted indoors, we will endeavour to meet in a space with enhanced fresh air flow, openable windows and doors.
• At least 1.5 metres distance will be kept between people at all times. Situations that require close-contact (such as attaching a microphone) will be done with face coverings on both participants.

This plan was created following the Victoria COVID Safe Plan Guidelines

We’ll have a discovery session over the phone to find out the specifics. It’s always a good idea to have a chat, so we can ensure we’re on the same page before things get moving. Once everything is agreed upon, I’ll begin preparing all the moving pieces for the shoot day.

I’ll arrive at the agreed location and we’ll briefly discuss how the day will unfold. I’ll begin setting up (which can take up to 30mins to begin with + 10 minutes per each additional setup throughout the day). We’ll shoot the content as per the shotlist, until we’ve got everything we need.

1st EDIT

I’ll generally supply the 1st edits within one week of the shoot date. At most, I aim for a turnaround of two weeks from the shoot date. You’ll receive non-downloadable versions to review, so I can complete the final edit.

As part of your package, you’ll have a maximum of two rounds of changes. This is to minimise back-and-forth so that I can deliver the final product on time and on budget. To achieve this, I ask that you collate all your feedback before I begin the 2nd edit. I use an online video-review platform which allows you to easily add comments directly onto the video.

After all changes have been made, I’ll request the balance invoice to be paid. Once payment is received, I’ll unlock the video, so you can download the HD .MP4 file(s).

Deposit: 50% upfront
Balance: 50% upon completion

Cancellation fees apply to video shoots. Cancellations within 7 days of the start time will incur a 50% fee of the invoice total. Cancellations within 72 hours of the start time will incur 100% fee of the invoice total.
